Tarte's 'Off The Cuff' Blush and Bronzer Palette {Review + Swatches}

I don't believe in love at first sight with people, but love at first site with material possessions? Too swoony.
When I first saw Tarte's 'Off The Cuff' blush + bronzer palette, I knew I had to have it, and so I set out in the same week to pick this ~badboy~ up. ʘ‿ʘ

(If only I had this kind of drive when chasing the opposite sex LOLLL)

This palette is a limited edition (holiday) blush + bronzer palette (four blushes, one bronzer), and can be found at Sephora/Tarte for $42 USD/$50 CDN. It also comes with a bow cuff! (pictured above)(...'off the cuff'...ha ha, get it..?)

As usual, these are formulated with Amazonian clay, and without parabens and phthalates.
Each pan comes with 0.158 oz of product, compared to full size at 0.2 oz for $26 USD/$31 CDN.

The four blush shades are:

Crave - matte pink peach
Dazzled - slightly shimmery soft rose/berry
Darling - matte nude melon, and
Dollface - light baby pink

....and one bronzer shade in 'Park Ave Princess'.

And of course, face swatches ಠᴗಠ
(BLOW IT UP, BLOW IT UP!!) (For someone who loves blush, I sure can't apply it right...-sweats nervously-)

PROS:

SO -VERY BAD CURSE WORD- SOFT AND PIGMENTED! Which is funny, because every time I go to Sephora to swatch the individual pans, they are hard and basically no fun to touch. :(
These are different, as they are incredibly soft, silky, and buttery (like high end eyeshadows), and they're incredibly pigmented.

Five shades for $42 USD/$50 CDN! Ridiculous high-end brand value, especially considering each are almost full sized, and if you buy the singles, they'll set you back $26 USD/$31 CDN apiece. (Thank you, holiday sets ʘ‿ʘ)

Long wearing, and natural looking! All these shade have lasted me throughout the day, and none are 'over-the-top-omg-must-blend-5ever'. They're all quite blendable and natural looking, which is always appreciated in my books.

- Good variety of shades. You've got 4 blush shades that are very distinct from each other, which means you can achieve more looks, and even blend them up for a unique shade!

Travel friendly! I mean, it is a palette, and having 5 shades in one place is always loved. It also contains a large mirror on the underside, and the palette shuts magnetically. No blush brush is included though. (Fine by me, I usually don't use those)

CONS:

- The exterior is a shimmery, textured fabric, and while there is minimal shimmer/glitter fallout, it still bugs me sometimes.

- Going on the previous point, I can see the exterior collecting dust since it is fabric, which would be a problem if you keep your makeup out/uncovered.

- 'Dollface', 'Dazzled' and 'Park Ave Princess' are the only shades sold in the regular line, which means if you finish 'Crave' and 'Darling', then...you're going to weep for a while.

- $42 USD/$50 CDN is still expensive if you're not used to high end products, but if you do have that kind of money and love blushes, then feel free to spend it on this! ;)
______________________________________________________________________

Love this palette! My favourite shades include 'Crave' and 'Dazzled', and I can see this palette suiting a variety of skin tones (maybe not 'Darling', the melon/nude shade though). In my opinion, there aren't enough blush palettes out there, so if Tarte decided to release more, I'd be all over that since I love their brand :D

(DON'T EVEN TALK TO ME ABOUT THE NEW NARS BLUSH PALETTE, IT'S SO EXPENSIVE ;-;)

Have you guys tried any of Tarte blushes? Any favourite shades that I should know about? ʘ‿ʘ
Or, any fantastic blush palettes I should know about?? (I just can't get enough of blush!)

(Last selfie, since I feel like my blog as of late has been full of ~serious~ selfies and my BFF laughed and snorted at my ~serious~ selfie face the other day)

I've never tried Tarte before, but that's a really great price for 5 shades! The quality looks great as well and very pigmented! The colour Crave looks really nice on you hehe!

  11. This blush palette is so very covetable between the cute packaging and the gorgeous shades of blush. It does sound like a really good value too! Why are you tempting me so with this rave review ?!! I have the Tarte blushes in Amused and Exposed. The latter is my everyday go to color and I totally concur with you on the pigmentation and wear.

I'm having some tech issues with my blog feed and just wanted to mention that I'm celebrating my blog anniversary with a giveaway for a pair of BaubleBar earrings in case you might be interested Vanessa :)

  12. I really want the new nars blush palette!!!! I would totally buy this, but my tarte blushes dried out (if that makes any sense) after around 8 months. When I bought them, they were heavenly! I would be too worried about this palette drying out too! Gaaahhh! It looks so lovely though!

    1. I really want the new Nars blush palette too, but it's wayyy out of my $$ range! ;-;
That actually makes total sense! The ones in the palette are super soft, but the samples/display ones are really tough, so it does make sense that they 'dry out'!

      It is heavenly though c:

  15. hahah. wow. yes,, you've made me want this. but i think dazzled is also in their permanent line no?
you probably encounter hard rock blushes at sephora b/c everyone keeps touchng them and they're just sitting out in the open.
i' really want to pick up tarte's exposed..i keep lusting after this one and have been putting it off for years. I will do next week i swear!!

FIRST OF ALL VANESSA Y U SO PWETTY?!? hdfjdjfdaue you're actually soooo beautiful, DAT DOLLFACE wow gurl!
Also that palette is amaaaazing! Tarte isn't an easily accessible brand in the UK unfortunately, so the only way of getting my hands on it would be risking a ridiculously large customs charge too -.- however i'm so glad you have it as I know how much you love blushes :')
The price is a steal too! Actually I guess you could say the same thing about the Nars palette, especially for us here in the UK as one blusher alone is £21 so with the whole palette being £45 in the bigger picture it is totally justifiable...but I'm not sure I could happily hand over almost £50 just for one makeup item The Blushing Giraffe| The Blog Loving

  28. AHHHHHH I WANT THIS SO BAD NOW! I was looking at another tarte holiday set where there were three different blushes that are a smaller size and are cheaper as a package, but then i did the math and realized that youre getting more product for dollar if you bought the full size. This looks like a good deal because there are so many different colors!
