Well folks, another month has gone by, and while I'm in the "BRACE YOURSELVES, THE FEBRUARY FAVOURITE POSTS ARE HERE" mode, I'm also ecstatic because it's MONTHLY BLUSH PURCHASE TIME!! AND SWEET HEAVENS REJOICE, FOR I HAVE FINALLY PICKED UP THE CHANEL SPRING BLUSH THAT I HAVE LUSTED FOR SINCE JANUARY.
(I apologise in advance for the...extensive...number of photos in this post. I, uh, kinda got carried away.
IT'S JUST SO BEAUTIFUL! -sheds tear-)
Alright, enough of whatever that was happening up there ^
Chanel Intonation is a matte, cream to powder coral pink blush from their Spring 2014 line.
And holy gajeebus, this blush is definitely worth $43 CDN ($38 USD)....AND THAT'S NOT SOMETHING I SAY OFTEN WITH MY HIGH END PRODUCTS. I feel like a rabid fangirl when I say this is the perhaps the best blush in my collection...WHAT THE WHAT?? Intensely pigmented, stays vivid on my face ALL DAY LONG, and the colour itself is sooo gorgeous and perfect for spring! (AND, Jenn from A Beautiful Zen was admiring it on my face this past weekend, so you know the shade is a winner!)
The only issue I have with it is that it can be a bit difficult to blend because it is so pigmented (it's a double-edged sword), and like all other cream blushes, it will mess up your foundation/concealer underneath (spotty people, beware!). But other than that, I'm living in pink coral bliss. ʘ‿ʘ
What's the best blush formulation you'd tried so far? Ever try a Chanel blush? ʘ‿ʘ
(Oh P.S., I forgot to include this photo, but I used foil to redirect light for the first time and it was friggen hilarious to me
